  • Vision, Values & Priorities

We are not content with pupils simply acquiring the national expected attainment level – we see our role as primary educators ensuring that every child, no matter of ability, should thrive.

    ‘Develop – Create - Engage’

    The Trust’s founding principles:

    • Collaborative
    • Ethical
    • Authentic

We are committed to an on-going journey of discovery and development that we believe will help us continually test and challenge ourselves and, consequently, continually enhance our offer to families, young people and ourselves.

Working together in deep partnership, freeing resources to make our money go further, reducing administrative burdens, investing in on-going professional development at all levels, connecting the whole of the learning community together, building system capacity and respecting individuality are all key to the Trust's success.

We do not think in straight lines, we are risk takers while always remembering that every action that we take is for the sole purpose of adding value to the core offer to our young people and ensuring that they receive the exceptional education that they deserve.

    We aim to ensure that:

    • Every setting is exceptional.
    • Every setting receives effective support.
    • Every setting is in an effective partnership.

Consortium Trust’s fundamental aim is to provide young people in our schools and settings with the best learning environment for them to develop to their full potential and be well prepared for the next stage of their education or life.

The bespoke platform, Learning Pi, demonstrates our commitment to all young people that they will have the opportunity to develop their personal and creative skills their community engagement as well as their academic progress.  These skills are developed through an exciting, broad, balanced and sequenced curriculum designed to meet the specific needs of the young person at each school and setting.

We understand the need for our schools and settings to maintain and enhance their position in the heart of our communities.  We have a passion for and recognise that for our schools and settings to remain vibrant and viable, closer integration and collaborative working is necessary to ensure that our curriculum is exciting, provision is full and the outcomes for young people are exceptional.  Our structure offers the framework to support this within our family of schools.

We exist to support our schools, settings, communities, and young people not as a business but as a mutual co-operative of professionals.  Where we share financial, physical, and intellectual resources, pooling them at the appropriate level with the primary aim to secure better outcomes for our young people.

“A MAT dividend is the aggregate impact of the formal collaboration that the Trust leads across the [settings] that make up the whole.” Sir David Carter

The Consortium [Multi Academy] Trust was established in July 2016.
