CEO Welcome

As we approach the second half of the Spring term and welcome in 2024 this edition of Horizons Home Time will showcase news from around our schools that focus on one of drivers, Creative Development. I'm sure you will agree that the learning characteristics that make up this driver such as Imaginative and Creative, Purposeful and Independentt Thinker, to name just a few, can be seen in abundance and I look forward to watching with interest the progress of children in all our settings as we go through the second half of this term.

As I mentioned in the last edition of Horizons Home Time the Head Office has now relocated to Helmingham School House and building is soon to begin at Barnby North Cove's specialist resource base which will be based in the grounds of the primary school. There are also still places available to join your Locality Committee within your school so please make contact with your Academy Head.

Measles continues to increase in England and while cases remain low in Suffolk, if your child has not been fully vaccinated with the MMR vaccine, and wish them to be protected, this can be done via your child's GP practice or by calling the Community and School aged immunisation service on 0300 555 5055, option 3.  Keeping children fit and healthy so they can attend school for as many days as possible is really important and the following link will provide some helpful guidance https://www.consortiumtrust.org/page/?title=Helping+keep+your+child+healthy&pid=554

I hope you have an enjoyable half term with a little less rain than in previous weeks!

Warm regards,

Andrew Aalders-Dunthorne, CEO
