On Wednesday 8th February, we held our first Trust sports event since covid - a swimming gala at Framlingham College.

We had 4 teams made up from most schools across the hub; Waveney Valley, Yox Valley, Greenfields and Borders partnership.

18 races were completed; some individual and some team events. Pupils showed great effort and collaboration and I was particularly impressed by their resilience, with some pupils really exceeding what they thought they could do.

Nerves were dealt with and schools worked together to cheer on, encourage and congratulate their teammates. They showed flexibility and teamwork.

Results were as follows:

1st Greenfields 57 points

2nd Waveney Valley 43 points

3rd Yoxvalley 42 points

4th Borders 38 points

All competitors will receive a certificate and a Consortium Swimming Gala trophy will be presented to Greenfields after half term.

A huge thank you to the staff at Framlingham college who supported with the event, starting the races and lifeguarding, as well as to Consortium staff who were timekeepers, minibus drivers, cheerers and finders of last minute swimming hats!
